I am a student at EDHEC in the Lille campus, and my experience was overall very good. Sometimes the courses can be too theoretical, and I get the feeling that the program that is not specialized or personalized enough: the students can only choose two elective courses per year. That means that students don’t really get to study exactly only what they find interesting, but also things that they have already seen before and maybe don’t like so much. I had a lot of standard subjects that were mandatory, like marketing, strategy and financial accounting. When it comes to student clubs and activities in the University, EDHEC has around 50 different student club, and they are known for being highly professionalizing, and you can even create your own. We also have several networking sessions with companies, which as good to give the students a nice overview of the market and start building their network, like for example the career week. The campus is big and with very nice infrastructure: a swimming pool, sports grounds, library…. For accommodation, there are usually two options: accommodation on the campus but there are a few slots or accommodation in the city center. It is quite easy, but I advise you to do it at least 2 months before your arrival (the school helps international students to find one). As for the city, Lille is a very nice city, a lot of nice bars and clubs… and it is located only 1h from Paris! It was definitely the best years of my life and I would definitely recommend it to a friend, and for future students: take advantage of the associative experiences while remaining serious in your academic and professional life!
