Don’t come here if you don’t have passion for the major. This is not a threat, but an advice, the program is vigorous, no time to relax because you would be eliminated in the first years. So without passion it will feel like torture. Just some friendly advice.

To start, I have to say that I love my university, why? Well, it mainly has to do with the fact that there are a lot of opportunities. It doesn’t matter if you want academic or social, there is something for you. You might be concerned like I was about life after school (career options) as it relates to your major. How does this school help with this? They provide applications and prepare you for work after college. This helps you stay focused and determined to graduate at the top of your class.

Studying materials science at this institution took its toll, but in a good way. I know a lot of people who come to try this course do so because they think it’s an easy pass. I felt the same way, but boy was I wrong. I don’t want to go into too much detail, but it did more than just toughen me up for the real world. It prepared me for reality and the harshness that comes.

I’m writing this primarily as a solid for my daughter Camille, but at the same time it brings old memories back to life as I type. What can I really say except that it has been a great experience to be one of the mechanical engineering alumni of this institution. I made good memories, I met great people. It’s just been quite a ride.
