“Alexandria University offers a very strong academic foundation, especially in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. The curriculum is rigorous and highly respected, delivered by expert professors.
Pros: High-level education, vibrant student life, and a beautiful campus location near the sea.
Cons: Heavy workload and some administrative bureaucracy.
My overall experience at Alexandria University was positive, especially in terms of academic knowledge and theoretical foundation. The program provided solid core subjects and helped me build discipline and critical thinking skills.
The professors were knowledgeable, and some were very supportive and genuinely interested in student success. However, the program could benefit from more practical training, updated materials, and stronger connections to the job market.
Facilities and organization were acceptable, though there is room for improvement in terms of resources and modern learning tools.
Overall, it is a good program for building a strong academic base, but students may need to put in extra effort independently to gain practical experience and stay competitive in the job market.
View moreI would recommend my university. I studied in the field of french language and literature and I learnt so much and I could say that it really changed the way I think and it introduced me to a lot of new writers, taught me how to analyze pieces of literature and art pieces through the centuries and I was so comfortable writting pages of analysis by the end of my course.
View moreI believe this university has a lot of potential, supported by many excellent professors. As a student in the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, I had the opportunity to learn from both the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Engineering.
That said, the education system could be improved. There were frequent changes to the credit system regulations, and some examinations tended to emphasize memorization of past papers rather than true understanding. On the positive side, the university has begun renewing its facilities, which is encouraging, though as a public institution with relatively low fees, resources are naturally limited.
My program—Biomedical Engineering—is relatively new within the Faculty of Engineering. While the program is designed to be research-oriented, research opportunities in Egypt remain limited. Some courses would also benefit from having more specialized professors with direct biomedical expertise, rather than a purely engineering background.
The course content itself was strong overall, though there were some unnecessary repetitions. Encouragingly, the program is updated annually, and I feel they are making significant progress. The university is also launching new programs to keep pace with global trends, which reflects a forward-looking attitude.
View moreI had the opportunity to study at Alexandria University, and overall, it was a very enriching and memorable experience. The university has a long history and a solid academic reputation, which makes it one of the most respected institutions in Egypt. One of the things I liked the most about Alexandria University is its diverse range of faculties and programs. No matter what field of study you are interested in, you can usually find a department that suits your academic goals.
The campus itself is very lively and full of energy. Being in the city of Alexandria, it combines the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea with the academic atmosphere, which makes studying there truly unique. I particularly enjoyed the library and the academic resources, as they provide students with strong support for research and learning. The professors are highly knowledgeable, and although the courses can sometimes feel challenging, they push you to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
What I disliked a little is that the administrative processes can sometimes take more time than expected, and certain facilities could be improved. However, the positive aspects far outweigh these small challenges.
I would definitely recommend Alexandria University to anyone who wants both a strong education and a great cultural experience. It is a place where you can grow academically and personally, while also enjoying one of the most beautiful cities in Egypt.
