If you are looking for a typical engineering university where you just mug up formulas and pass exams, SDU is probably not for you. But if you want to actually build things and understand how future tech works, this place is gold.
I am currently studying Electronics here and just finished my 3rd semester. Looking back at my journey so far, the best part is definitely the project-based learning. In many countries, EEE or Electronics is mostly about textbooks and boring lab reports. But at SDU, they push you into the practical world from day one. Even though I am still in the middle of my graduation, I already ended up completing multiple projects, and each one taught me how to solve real life problems.
One big thing they focus here is sustainable development. It’s not just a buzzword. The professors actually taught us how to adapting high-tech engineering with green energy, so that whatever we build helps the world in the long run.
The coolest project I worked on recently was about magnetic levitation. We literally built a system where a platform could float and move over magnetic tiles on the floor, without any wheels at all! Dealing with that kind of frictionless, sci-fi technology in my early semesters was mind-blowing and honestly, it taught me more about electromagnetism than any textbook ever could.
Overall, SDU doesn’t just make you an engineer, it changes how you look at technology. Highly recommended if you want hands-on experience.
