DTU is a great university to study in. It has some very smart lecturers and they are very helpful. Subjects they offer at this university is very interesting and have a lot of different subjects to choose from. I enjoyed the studying methodology they use here, which are used with practical industrial problems. Apart from this DTU also offers a very good student life. There are many clubs and different activities throughout the year to keep students united and entertained.
View moreThe procedure for applying for the university is very simple, and dedicated personnel is always there to answer any questions that you may have. Before even coming to Denmark you will have to register for the courses that you will attend on your first semester, which may be a little hard, but you will have the chance to change them if you realize you wanted something different. The only problem before coming to Copenhagen is finding accommodation, which is a difficult procedure as there are not many housing options available, and you will need to communicate with the accommodation office frequently if you are to find accommodation through DTU.
The Campus is very beautiful, with new buildings and a lot of green areas, and they are renovating it frequently. The library has plenty of room to study including rooms for group studying. There are also computers with dual screens that students can use, as well as printers where you can print for free in black and white. The cantines offer a variety of dishes in a buffet, although the price is considered high. On Friday there are several student bars that open on campus where a lot of students gather to drink and have fun. There are also events that take place once or twice per month.
Regarding the actual courses, you are given a significant degree of freedom when choosing the courses that you would like to attend. With the exception of some mandatory courses for general competences and technological specialization, you are free to choose from an extended list of courses. You can also choose to have special courses which you define yourself together with a professor so that you can tailor your studies to your specific interests. The university offers a variety of theoretical and experimental courses. The majority of professors are very kind and helpful and always ask for the students’ opinions on how they can improve the course in the future.
Finally, the university hosts a variety of events regarding your future career, where you can get in touch with companies in your field of studies. There is also a dedicated career center on campus, where you can get feedback on your CV and Cover Letter.
View moreDTU has more than 50% of students from outside of Denmark which makes them one of the best universities in Europe & Globe for diversification. it is one of the best places to learn Technical courses and possess practical based assessments.
View moreI really like the atmosphere at the university of DTU. There is always something special to do and I really like the events at SkyLab! It is my best experience ever as you can be surrounded by international students every time and you can feel free to share your opinion. I recommend this university if you are open-minded, ambitious and if you are looking for something that could change your life! Come on, join us! 🙂
View moreDTU makes international students feel home. I am Italian and I came to Denmark to attend a master degree in Industrial Engineering and Management. The courses I attended were very practical, similar to the work environment. DTU increase certainly teamwork, problem-solving and decision making skills. Comparing to the Italian method of teaching there is less theory to study, but more knowledge to apply. Moreover, the campus is very well organized with all the facilities for an international student (International guidance, accommodation office, a huge library for studying with private spaces and computers, kitchen, game room, gym, sports pitch etc.) Everything at DTU is designed for making the student feel comfortable. I will definitely recommend this University for an experience abroad!
View moreThe best thing about DTU is that it allows you to choose from a huge variety of courses and create your own unique study program. DTU offers a lot of opportunities to students and I highly recommend it for students who would like an engineering career.
View moreYes, I would recommend the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) to people interested in Engineering. It gives good opportunities for learning various skills in many different areas of the science of Engineering.
View moreI was studying at the University of Cyprus for 3 years and while I was following my journey as an entrepreneur, I moved to Denmark to develop one of my projects. Since I decided to move to Copenhagen, I thought It would be a good idea to move my degree at DTU since it’s considered quite prestigious for a university. During my studies so far, I found the climate to be quite friendly and professors have friendly relationships with students and are really encouraging – not to mention they introduced me to many people who could help me further with my project and research. Also, there are so many startup competitions with money awards (and not only) which is motivating and also connects you to many like-minded people. However, I found the campus to be really far and rent really expensive. A very nice part is DTU Skylab, which has co-working spaces, free equipment (even 3d printing!).
