I am a student at Charles University and I must say that studying at this prestigious school has given me a really broad view of the world. Karlovka is known for its historical tradition, but also for its modern approaches to education. The faculty and interdisciplinary cooperation is especially excellent – during research or seminars you meet people from different fields and cultures. Even though the school is large and sometimes it can be difficult to find your way around, most teachers are willing to give advice and help. During my studies, I focus on philosophy and history and I can say that most of the subjects are of very high quality. The emphasis on critical thinking and discussion moves me forward, but sometimes it would be nice to have more practical classes. In my free time, Prague is a wonderful city, full of cultural events, cafes and opportunities that I highly recommend taking advantage of.
