What Is an Economics Degree?

Having an economics degree increases anyone’s chances to find a job, regardless of the field. This is mainly due to the fact that graduates hold many transferable abilities, such as analytical and problem-solving skills, that are suitable for any career.
A study made by the London School of Economics and Political Science showed that graduates from an economics course have a starting salary of £33,000 per year. Having a job in the field right after graduation is a major positive aspect and comes with a lot of opportunities for career advancement.
Economics Degree Structure
Economics degrees are usually a three years commitment and sometimes are offered as part of a joint degree. This means that Economics can be studied along with another subject such as engineering, management, law, computer science and others.
This degree can be found either as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Arts (BA). The BSc focuses more on economical theory and statistical techniques, while BA is combined with social sciences and qualitative modules.

StudentCIThe university curriculum organization.Am an undergraduate in economics and my curriculum is aligned in a way that some courses have to be taken before some others for a complete learning consistency. But it appears that at some semesters there are either no teachers to offer those courses or the university for unknown reasons to me do not open that particular course so we have to jump to the next course without the prerequisites. It penalizes learning and some students have to extend their semesters and pay extra tuition fees to complete their curriculum and get the degree.

For me what stood out about FIU was how much they take care of their students compared to other uni’s the student app , bus schedules, resit and makeup exams. Teachers too are very respectful.
