I think my school has so many issues when it comes to diversity, as a black person many things are overlooked in terms of ranking and people in position and how people are generally treated. But my classes go well.
View moreMy school is good so far, I think student need to be way more aware of things going on in the university, when I first came it was not easy for me to know my way around clubs, communities and stuff. My classes have been good and I don’t have much bad experiences with lectures
View moreThe lecturers are really helpful sometimes, it’s my first year of school and my student life has been great, the community has been really helpful for me to settle in properly. I try to never miss a class too- great advice for anyone coming in
View moreI think the policies are outrageous, like the classroom policies(how professors expect student to act in a classroom). The use of equipments are too strict, I have a love of using musical instruments in my spare time but I can’t get one myself and there is a long process to just make use of an equipment for at least an hour, each time I try.
View moreDepending on your faculty, your UOM experience can vary. Now when you are involved of UMSU politics as a minority, that’s a whole different and questionable experience. They “celebrate diversity” but with a “hands off” approach. Quite disappointing

View moreI like the amount of program options but I would live more integrated programs. Also a lot of times it feels like thw amount I’m paying for tuition is going into nothing. Parking is too expensive but the plus side is that it’s free after 4pm.
