The campus is quite large, but it is easy to get around. If you are having trouble with your schooling, there are numerous options available to aid you. In terms of lectures, I’d say that they are not that effective. Students, for instance, complain about lectures being too long. In addition, as a student for whom English is a second language, it is difficult to understand the lessons if the professor discusses them quickly. It’s quite a struggle to catch up, but I’m gradually adapting to the system. I particularly appreciate that students at BCIT have access to U-Pass BC, a student transportation programme sponsored in conjunction with the BCIT Student Association, Translink, and the Province of British Columbia that allows students to ride the bus, skytrain, and seabus anywhere in Metro Vancouver. The library is a comfortable space to concentrate and study. Despite some of those things, I feel that this school is accommodating to all students. The school itself feels safe and homely, just right for the course I’m studying. As a new student at BCIT, I am glad I chose it. I have gained valuable knowledge and skills that will benefit me in my future career.

View moreI enjoy that this institute is able to allow me to get my bachelors in 3 years instead of 4. It is very welcoming and easy to make friends as you are placed in designed “sets” of anywhere between 10-30 students.
