Our university now goes by the name Ontario Tech University. As a transfer student from a university outside of Canada, my honest review about Ontario Tech is 4.5/5. Coming from a university that started just four years ago, I can tell the difference between a long-established university such as OT and one that is still in the process of establishing itself. The professors at Ontario Tech have grown to understand students’ needs when it comes to comprehending course materials and testing their knowledge. Exams and study materials challenge students in a way that somewhat reflects the outside world of business. There is no doubt that as a student, you will face a gap in knowledge between what you’ve learned and studied at the university and what you’ll find yourself doing after graduating and finally landing your first job; however, this is where our university differs from others. At Ontario Tech, you’ll find various opportunities to take part in clubs, projects with your professors, events, and meetings with guest speakers. All of these will benefit you with job market knowledge, differentiate you from others to employers, keep you ahead in terms of skills currently required by jobs, and you’ll find yourself enjoying them as they are not all job-focused but also hobby-related.
