I did a two year Master’s program in Philosophy at TMU. I can’t recommend the faculty there enough.
In academia, you will encounter two kinds of professors: researchers and teachers. The former tend to be indifferent to their students–they are more focused on publishing and writing books than they are in cultivating their students.
TMU’s Philosophy department is comprised of the latter; teachers. They take an active interest in their student’s development as thinkers. Because they don’t have doctoral students, the professors give you their undivided attention, which is rare for the Masters level.
All of this is to say: if you are interested in philosophy, but don’t quite want to dive straight into a PhD, go to TMU.
