Toronto Metropolitan University is a diverse community where you would find anyone welcomed. It is in the heart of Toronto surrounded by many businesses, hospitals, organizations. Going into TMU I have always felt like I actually had an impact in society, which allowed me to persevere more than ever. I believe this was because I could see people around me from the public and actually realize that I am a part of this community. One part that I disliked about TMU was the fact that because it was a commuter school, sometimes it would be hard to connect with friends as the campus culture would be more like a 9-5 job where at the end of the day everyone needed to commute back home. However, sometimes this allowed friendships to be stronger than ever by taking advantage of hundreds of cafes, restaurants, and bars around TMU. It was amazing to celebrate little moments without difficulties. Overall, I would recommend TMU as it is an institution that will always have your back with its resources and help you achieve your goals.
