Centennial college progress campus has one of the best teaching and administrative staff. Gives quality education and attention to students needs. They also support students wellbeing through on campus jobs, food banks and welfare programs. They have a standard athletic centre . Overall, Centennial college is pretty impressive.
View moreStudying at Centennial College’s Scarborough campus has been a solid and practical experience overall. The program focuses heavily on hands-on learning, with courses covering programming, databases, and software development methodologies that reflect real industry needs. Many instructors bring actual work experience into the classroom, which helps bridge theory and practice. The campus itself is accessible and diverse, creating a welcoming environment for international and local students alike. Labs and group projects are a big part of the program, giving students a chance to collaborate and build real applications, though the quality of teaching can vary depending on the instructor.
On the downside, some facilities and resources can feel a bit limited, especially during busy periods when labs are crowded or equipment is outdated. Administrative processes can also be slow at times, which can be frustrating when dealing with course registration or support services. While the program prepares students with foundational skills, a lot of personal effort is required to stay competitive, particularly in learning newer technologies outside the curriculum. Overall, it’s a decent choice for getting started in software engineering, but students who take initiative beyond the classroom will benefit the most.
View moreWhat I liked about this College was everyone was knowledgeable in their area of expertise. All the teachers were welcoming and everyone was inclusive.
What I dislike was the communications of information, was not in a timely manner.
View moreCentennial is unique in that most of the programs are of an “applied arts” nature. It is not designed to be all textbook, but rather applied arts. The programs are unique compared to others in that you really get to understand the textbook teaching and then apply them in real life situations or jobs. I highly recomment this school.
View moreI like the applied part of centennial college where the focus is on applying what you have learned. It is exciting to put yourself in reallife scenarios and not just theory. I would highly recommend this university to anyone who wants to get their head out of the books and into real world applicatons.
