Waterloo is well-known for their hands on learning opportunities. Their co-op program is one of the largest in the country and allows for students to experience industry based learning whilst in school.

University of Waterloo is one of the prestigious schools, which has the best co-op program. I experienced my first co-op term and it taught me a lot of skills and helped me network a lot as well. The education is fantastic as well.

UW is an integrative university that incorporates a work/life/academic balance. It allows students to indulge in fulfilling work experiences while meeting their academic obligations. Along with this, they encourage an enriching social and personal life through programs that incorporate wellness, recreation and mental health.

As a first-year student, I had many worries about the transition from highschool to university. However, I feel like the environment at the University of Waterloo has been very welcoming and encouraging. The quality of the teaching and campus has been exceptional. I am looking forward to the next three years of study here at the university.

The University of Waterloo is a world-class institution that adequately prepares its students for their future occupations. It has a network of helpful resources that supports students anywhere they go.

My university experience so far has been a very positive one. Despite the fact that the global pandemic changed my schooling to online, I found that the guidance councillors and advisors made an effort to ensure they were a prominent resource for the students. From weekly reminders and prompts to reach out if help was needed, to rapid responses in stressful situations, the academic advisors displayed their active presence. They have assisted me countless times, most recently with a study abroad term that required many steps and signatures. These faculty members have made my university experience and swift one. I am also very much enjoying my program as the classes that I am required to take teach me skills that I never thought I needed throughout my studies and my life. I am learning communication skills, business and leadership skills, as well as collaboration and independence. What I enjoy so much about my program is the diversity of skills that are taught, and the promotion of breadth. As an Honours Art and Business student, I am required to take a number of business courses, art courses devoted to my major and minor as well as breadth course which range from cultural studies to biology courses. My program does their best to ensure my success in becoming a well-rounded individual.
