I like the university of Ottawa because of its diversity and its engagement with students and the many big associations we have and how much they do for us the student, each month we have many events, I am participating in a club where we can promote our culture without discrimination, this being said the university had opened me to many opportunities, new learning experiences and I’m grateful, however, the downside about this is the treatment we as students receive, some professors need to be reviewed for the way they treat their students and they approach things, many faculties need to review their ethic codes with many of them.

Since my father was an economics professor, he would make us read some of his publications. We would often debate about the themes at the dinner table. I started reading books about it such as the prince by Niccolò Machiavelli, the Second Treatise of Government by John Locke, etc. The more I learned about the topic the more I treasured it. I would even listen to the news and try to analyze some political conflicts. At the University of Ottawa, I got to have an amazing teacher that taught us these topics and even debts.
However, due to the pandemic, the qualities of certain courses took a dip. Teachers are less hands-on.
