I enjoyed the environment but the classes were very crowded at times. I think that courses could have been better organized however, I did my best to understand what the professors taught. I think that the university could have been more enticing if there were fewer complementsry courses.
View moreI like that McGill is multicultural and diverse. A lot of events happen throughout the year besides studies which help student develop new skills. Participation is good in these events as a lot of students can be met.
View moreThe university offers a great graduate level program for students interested in life sciences research. It offers great deal of independence in terms of the courses offered, research labs and design of your curriculum in general. In addition the program in compasses labs in multiple hospitals and research centers across the city of Montreal. This not only provides ample opportunities to collaborate and make research progress, but also puts you right in the hotbed of medical research in Canada.
View moreI chose this university for its internationality, its openness to the world and the spirit! I am neither literary nor scientific, I am a mixture. McGill allowed me to explore my passions fully, without forcing me to choose. I study psychology and biology but also philosophy, immunology and French. This school allows me to open up and get to know people from different backgrounds.
You have to remember that it’s a very competitive environment, you have to work hard and there are many lonely moments. Especially in psychology, the classes are big and numerous, you have to be organized and know how to manage your time.
But don’t worry! McGill offers the opportunity to learn new things, and to explore (whether in classes or clubs). I give it 4 stars because, with the COVID, I didn’t found the student life as rich as I hoped ; but I am sure it will come back
If you’re a jack-of-all-trades, motivated and ready for new adventures, McGill is your school!
I am a student at McGill University majoring in Anatomy and Cell Biology. The program is hard but it provides early exposes pre-med students with the necessary anatomy courses. I personally enjoy this program a lot, especially the labs. The cadaver labs are really cool and it’s amazing to have a hands-on experience in undergrad years.
View moreI liked how organised and well structured my program is, the professors are extremely experienced and the facilities are up-to-date. The program is designed such that it prepares the students to back great jobs at industries and research labs
