I went to Concordia from 2004-2008 in Applied Human Sciences (Human Relations specifically). I really enjoyed my time there and made some good friendships I still have today. I think that I have been able to apply what I learned in my bachelor’s degree in every job i’ve had, and in life in general. I specifically loved my course on counseling where I was able to be counseled. And my self-managed learning course, where I learned so much about myself.

Concordia University has done a fantastic job at providing on-campus activities and workshops for students to feel connected and less lonely in stressful times. My program, Human Relations highlights this perfectly as a human relations student to be able to see the effects these workshops have on our beings and our mental and physical health as well. The student Life at Concordia has allowed our school to feel more like a community than a school.

This university is fantastic great education system works really well classes and teachers are amazing. I also really like the easy access to almost every thing around whether it be online or in school

Since beginning at Concordia my experience has been overall positive. The environment of both campuses is aesthetically pleasing and engaging. I started in the Joint Specialization of Anthropology and Sociology then transferred to Human Relations. The Human Relations program is very interactive and hands-on, enabling me to view my skills and apply them directly in workplaces. I find this program benefits students interested in working alongside other individuals or one on one in the community, in different organizations, as a practitioner, and more.

The Sociology department at Concordia was an enriching experience, the main skills the program offered are critical thinking, research and strong writing aptitude. Additionally, I had the opportunity to be a peer tutor during my undergraduate degree, where I was able to learn more requirements of a variety of assignments and disciplines, most importantly how students need to be supported and where they may struggle.

I really enjoyed my experience, would recommend Concordia to people. The only thing I thought it was lacking was a sense of community and library space. Other than that I thought classes were good and interesting.
