    Concordia's Resources and Teaching Environment

Overall I have enjoyed my time at Concordia University although the beginning of my studies where greatly influenced by the pandemic. Concordia offers various tools of support to its students both administrative and academic. They are made accessible but can sometimes be hard to find without taking the conscious initiative to seek them. This fosters the university’s goal to foster independent and proactive minds.
I would recommend Concordia University to anyone who would like to benefit from a hands-on and smaller teaching environment. Professors are made available to students because of the size of the classes which also improves opportunities to participate and build academic relationships.

I love the university , because it has a lot of programs that cater to different people and make sure everyone feels seen. It’s a great environment that allows you to get out of your comfort zone and feel supported while doing it.

Few teachers who are dedicated to the students

Concordia university was once upon a time an educational facility that, although not being the premiere higher-education establishment in the city, did have an active and flourishing student council that would directly impact student life across all of Concordia’s campuses.
I entered the university in hopes of being a student in the John Molson School of Business. It was highly acclaimed at the time and had very high standards as to who would be accepted to study there. Unfortunately those on the University’s board managed to screw up the budget and put too much into their own pockets, that they had to lower the standards of the JMSB’s entry exam to get more students in and increase the establishment’s disposable income.

It resulted in students who didn’t belong there, and teachers who didn’t want to be there.

    What a disaster.

    My opinion about Concordia

The first thing I like about the school is that it is located in one of the tourist cities in the world that you could meet a lot of people in the city apart from school which is also a multicultural place. At Concordia you will find will find at least one person from every where in the world. So far the lectures I have met at Concordia are friendly and helpful. But one thing I have observed at the uni is that to me it’s kinder limits me in the way that everything is theoretical the belief that talent and creativity exists is still at a low rate at Concordia and that’s why we have most people thinking about employment after graduating even those in the business field.

    Great Connections

The Political Science program builds excellent connections within the workplace, whether it be for the academic sphere or the international diplomatic sphere of work. Very engaging, diverse and competitive setting. Overall excellent professors and student associations. My only quip lies in the inaccessibility to internships early in the program for skill-building.
