Student review [#51943] for Environmental Sciences
at McGill University

McGill University is an excellent educational institution with a large multi-cultural international student body. The University campus is spacious and offers large amounts of green spaces interwoven with a mixture of old and new buildings, a beautiful and well equipped library, state of the art sports facilities, plenty of outdoor/indoor study spots and its very own natural history museum – the Redpath museum. McGill is located in Montreal, Canada which is, in my experience, a very accessible and enjoyable city for students due to its affordability and its dynamic culture, music and arts scene. During my time there, I really valued the eclectic, multi-disciplinary course choices on offer and also the level of engagement from professors and lecturers. Professors provided lots of valuable assignment feedback and did not shy away from offering additional mentorship to students through a variety of research opportunities.

McGill University demands a high work-load from students which can be challenging especially due to its large class sizes and lack of administrative support. McGill could improve accessibility to mental health and general health resources as well as increasing academic accomodations for those in need.
