I completed MacEwan University’s Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Anthropology, between the years 2016 and 2021. The program is certainly worth it for those already interested in Anthropology, and the professors at the school are all great. They are able to be personable with the students due to small class sizes, with seminar courses often ranging between 5-10 students. The small class sizes also allows for a tight knit group of students who will often share a majority of classes.
The facilities at the school are quite nice as well, a fitness centre is open to all students and is never too busy, there are private study rooms as well as a myriad of small nooks with comfortable chairs to study or relax on between classes. The largest issue is navigating the school, due to its linear nature it can take some time to get from one end to the other.
As for continuing work, I found my professors willing to act as professional references for jobs, though the job market for Anthropology itself is small, the degree will be able to help with other, broader, career choices, especially in Education.
