Main Building: BMOS students have most of their courses at social science building (SSC). A lot of us hate this building because of the depressing atmosphere, lack of sunlight, and ugly design. However, it does equip with a lot of sitting areas and study rooms. It can be a resort for your group project meetings and grindings for exams. A geographic advantage is that SSC is very close to University Community Centre (UCC), where have shops, food places and lounge. A lot of events happen at UCC lounge, such as job fair and club fair. SSC is also very close to Weldon Library, where most people study.
Courses: To be honest, business, especially in university, really needs self-study. Not all profs are reliable for good quality education or be responsive to your questions. I’m not good at math, so Econ mandatory classes were my pain in the ass. To get into Ivey, Bus 2257 is basically a must. I personally think it’s one of the most interesting courses in BMOS and really helped me to get more confidence in talking in public and contribute in team work.
