The part that I liked about this program was the interactiveness in some of my classes. Like participating in a class-wide survey, and anonymously hearing other students’ answers. It gave an interactive element even during covid to get to know other people and to learn more about social factors in people’s lives. The classes are broad and there is a large range of topics that can be studied within this program which gives me a chance to widen my horizon in my studies. Within the school in general there weren’t a lot of opportunities for meeting people outside of a residence in the first year during covid. I feel that if they did more activities that appeal to more types of people I feel that it could’ve helped more people meet each other. I wouldn’t say that the school is international, compared to others it is mostly people from smaller towns in Ontario, and not very many from other countries or other cities in Canada. In terms of my career prospects I feel that Guelph is giving good education for the program, and with a certificate in business that was very easy to add to my major.
