The Biological Engineering Program at Guelph was hyper-specific to the food & beverage industry. If you intend on working in a brewery/distillery or a food production facility, this is a great program, but it’s not good for much else. In my last 2 years, there was talk from professors that the program name was to be changed to ‘food engineering’ which would cause a lot less confusion considering the number of people in the program that had not intended on said career path. This is important to know because if you intend on getting your PEO after this program, the only relevant experience that will be considered by the CEAB is R&D or QA in a food or Beverage production setting. Hope this helps!
