The quality of education is very high, has a lot of scholarships on a merit base. Tuition fees are lower than other universities with similar ranking and are situated in the affordable city of Edmonton. I would recommend it to international students.
View moreI went to a smaller campus that is a part of the university (Augustana campus) and it was a nice transition from a small high school. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is scared of that jump to a huge university with thousands of people. The classes were never that big so if help was needed you could expect answers quickly. The atmosphere of the campus was very welcoming too. I was in a science program, but I was also allowed to take courses that didn’t involve my degree, like art. That was very fun to widen my knowledge in other areas. The downsides I experienced was that making friends was harder because of the small number of people and, like high school, once people have made a friend group in the first year it’s hard to find a way in with people.
