This was my only choice for post-secondary education but I originally had my eyes on the psychology program instead of sociology (I do not regret entering sociology). MRU has its fair share of good moments; however I think there are certain professors who shouldnt be teaching because of their biases that leak into the way they teach their lectures. I also did not appreciate how expensive the parking was, especially if you bought a SEMESTER’s worth which was around $400 (a price some people can’t afford to pay). Also there is too much advocation for accessibility and inclusion but no actual action. For example, the recent addition of “all-gender” washrooms but the school just relabeled some of the previous washrooms… disappointing when so much money is being brought in.
View moreI love the class size allowing me to meet people easily, and all the professors are wonderful. The resources as well such as student learning service, peer learning/ mentor and workshops have been very helpful and have all helped me excel in my classes.
