Brock is a great university. What I like most about the school as a whole is the community feel of the campus. Everyone wants to see you succeed, even your profs. Most profs that I’ve had demonstrated true care for their students’ understanding of the course material. The best thing about my program, Kinesiology, is the amount of opportunities in the department, and the amount of money the university clearly invests into it. I would recommend Brock to anyone looking for a positive university experience and a visually appealing campus. It is most popular for programs such as Concurrent Education, Accounting, Business, Sport Management, Kinesiology, and Child and Youth Studies.

My educational experience at Brock University was both challenging and extremely rewarding. Brock provided me with many opportunities to get involved and grow in my field, as early as 1st year. These opportunities, such as interdisciplinary case study competitions, anatomy lab volunteering, and functional inclusive training gym internships were the highlight of my experience at Brock. The professors were knowledgeable, passionate, kind, helpful, and provided rigorous but achievable course expectations. I felt comfortable asking questions and seeking support. With the concurrent Med Plus co-curricular program, I felt supported as an individual student. However, it can be difficult to find sufficient study spaces around Brock, especially on busier days. An investment to increase individual and group study space availability would be helpful to students, especially during finals. Overall, I highly recommend Brock for students that want hands-on, experiential learning.

The program also features competitive and career-defining opportunities that students can apply and earn, such as the experiences gained within the Brock Sports Medicine (BSM) Clinic, where successful applicants work with varsity athletes on real-time injury management and rehabilitation, and the FITLINK Program at the Bfit Centre, which offers successful applicants the chance to lead exercise prescription for individuals managing chronic conditions. While the Kinesiology program is intensely rewarding, the campus environment perfectly complements the academic rigour; Brock boasts a safe, welcoming, and fun campus life, offering a strong community feel that ensures students have a balanced university experience outside of the labs and clinics, making it a truly exceptional place to learn and grow.

There are some good courses that are very current with today’s news, but your experience really depends on the professors you get. Some just directly follow a book that isn’t really useful, others rely solely on exams which doesn’t work for everyone, some aren’t engaging; you have to ask friends and ratemyprof to make sure you get good profs.
