My time at the University of Buea pursuing an agriculture degree was a formative experience that equipped me with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The faculty, while passionate and knowledgeable, often faced challenges with outdated resources and limited research facilities. However, the vibrant campus life and diverse student body fostered a sense of community and cultural exchange.
The curriculum, though comprehensive, could benefit from a more hands-on approach, with greater emphasis on field trips and practical experiences. The library, while well-stocked, sometimes lacked the latest agricultural publications. Despite these shortcomings, the university provided a solid foundation in agricultural principles, enabling me to pursue further studies or enter the workforce.
Looking back, I appreciate the opportunities to engage in student organizations and participate in agricultural projects, which enhanced my learning experience. While the university has room for improvement, my time there was invaluable in shaping my career path and fostering a lifelong passion for agriculture.
