A business cannot survive if its products are not marketed in the proper way. Luckily for all the businesses out there, the number of candidates wanting to pursue a marketing career is growing tremendously.
The aim of this degree is to help students anticipate, manage, and satisfy customers’ needs and wants. By doing so, they will be able to effectively communicate the benefits of any business product to the targeted market.
Due to the fact that marketing is a complex industry, which tackles many areas ranging from market research to advertising and promotion, this degree focuses on all parts of the process before concentrating on a particular area of study.
Good news for marketing graduates! If you did not know yet, marketing is an essential aspect of all types of businesses, from all sectors of activity. Thus, all of them rely on marketers to promote and sell their products. A high market demand comes with many job opportunities available.
According to Labor Department Findings, graduates with a marketing degree can earn 98% more per hour than the ones working in the industry without having a specialised degree.
Furthermore, students are equipped with transferable skills, such as excellent communication abilities, strategic thinking, planning, data analysis and so on, that can be used in other industries too.
Marketing degrees can be studied either as Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc). The major difference lies in the presence of more scientific and technological aspects, which are commonly seen in a BSc rather than a BA.
Like most degrees, marketing courses last between three and four years, depending on the university. However, there are institutions which give students the possibility to do a two-year associate’s degree – also called a ‘foundation’ degree.
Even if graduating from both degrees qualifies candidates to work in this industry, a Bachelor degree has higher chances to lead you to well-paid jobs.
AUBG is a great university if you’re looking for an American College experience in the Balkans. The level of education is quite good, everyone is very helpful, especially the other students. ABUG staff is very helpful and will always have your back if needed. The location is nice too, Blagoevgrad is a small city surrounded by mountains and has all the necissary places around you. If you’re looking for a bigger city, you can take the bus/train/taxi to the Capital any time from 7 am-6 pm. It’s near the greek border, so if you’re seeking to go to the beach, Thessaloniki and Kavala are only two hours away by car. Also, Ryanair tickets are very cheap from Sofia so you can go almost anywhere on the weekends. Overall, I would recommend this university to anyone who wants to combine both good quality education and exploring Bulgaria and any other nearby countries.
View moreThis is the program I chose two years ago and had to stop in the process because of really demanding work. I am going to soon continue my studies and hopefully write my thesis as soon as possible. I am nicely surprised by the good feedback and assistance I recieevd in the past year and a half by the univreristy and especially one of my professors. The program is built to accomodate people of diverse experience and lifestyles because they offer an effective blended curriciulum. It is maybe the most advanced approach among the Bulgarian higher education institutions. The most important thing is the understanding and the options every student is offered to take their exams and finish graduating in their own pace.
View moreI was part of this program for a little over two years because I worked at the same time. In fact, this did not stop me in any way, on the contrary – I combined my favorite aspects of working with vocational education in the field. Every day my work created ideas and questions that I answered with my studies and vice versa, the study material inspired my work. I will keep many positive memories from this period and warm contacts with real professionals.
View moreFor marketing novices who want a fresh atmosphere with many foreign languages, this is the place. I chose the program to be closer to my hometown, but I stayed because of the incredible quality of the American University in terms of facilities and technology. The management of the university itself is adequate and computer-literate people really want to help their students. Do not underestimate the things that are said about the university, because from personal experience I can say that the state Bulgarian universities can not be compared with the world level of AI.
View moreWhen applying to the university I only knew of the high level of technical equipment and renovated base but I was much more surprised with the innovations it offers students. The blended education both online and in-person is very advanced and takes its strategies from the best western universities. I was pleased with how fast and reliable most of the professors in my course were. They were always ready to help and give practical advice, which is also the basis of the ethos of communication technologies.
