It is a well respected university in Manaus and has grown considerably since its founding in 1909. Great teachers, good research opportunities. However, there is much to improve on the issue of Infrastructure for the chemistry and research laboratories as a whole. But this issue needs the support of the government, which has been mismanaging the money that should be earmarked for health, public safety and obviously, for education.
