View moreUFAM is a great university in the context of Amazonas. I was a Physiotherapy student and had the opportunity to take classes with the best and most competent professionals. The campus also strongly promotes social equality and equity for low-income students, offering a restaurant with meals at low prices for students in vulnerable situations. My course received the highest possible score from the MEC, which is the federal regulatory body for higher education courses.
View moreIt is a well respected university in Manaus and has grown considerably since its founding in 1909. Great teachers, good research opportunities. However, there is much to improve on the issue of Infrastructure for the chemistry and research laboratories as a whole. But this issue needs the support of the government, which has been mismanaging the money that should be earmarked for health, public safety and obviously, for education.
