The VUB students are very chill and very open minded. One thing that stands out compared to other universities, is the expertise of the teachers at the VUB. They are true experts in their disciplines.
View moreAfter graduating from a Master’s in Digital Communication at this University, I have accomplished academic writing skills, group work and learned more about the EU public policies.
The only thing that I missed from this master’s programme was integration into the job market and more practical skills in job hunting.
I am really enjoying studying at the VUB!
It is a very open-minded and international university where everyone can truly be themselves. The professors are approachable, and the assistants are even more: we can often even call them by their first name! I like the freedom you get to choose your own courses according to your interests, especially in Biology, where you can design your master’s programme almost entirely based on courses you really love. The campus also really feels like a real campus which I love. What I liked a bit less is the administration at the VUB, which can sometimes be confusing or difficult to understand. But I’ve also heard the same from friends at other universities, so I think that’s quite common everywhere. Overall, I would really recommend the VUB.
The facilities of the university are excellent, the campus is really green and beautiful. Professors are mostly supportive and competent. When it comes to the study programme it was closely linked to practice. Overall, what I liked most in my experience of studying here is there are many international students from different nationalities, so it’s quite diverse.
View moreI really like the lush and green atomosphere surrounding the campus on Etterbeek. There is generally always a vivid and positive vibe on the campus. From all the campuses I have been, this one has the most greenery. A small downside however is that some aula’s look a bit dated from the inside, yet this isn’t much of an issue when it comes to my learning experiences.
