I studied the Bachelor in Business Management, Marketing across Europe (BME) at UCLL, and the international character of the program is what makes it stand out. From day one you are in classes with students from many different countries and backgrounds, which makes group work and discussions much richer. You learn to collaborate across cultures, adapt to different working styles and communicate confidently in English, while also using other languages like French and Dutch.
The program is built around a European perspective on business and marketing. Courses look at how markets, consumers and companies differ across countries, so you develop a broad view instead of a purely local one. There are many opportunities to go abroad, including exchanges and a double degree option, which allows me to complete my final year at Rennes School of Business in France.
The approach is very practical, with plenty of group projects, presentations and real business cases. Most teachers are approachable and up to date with current topics, such as generative AI and communication. On the downside, communication about deadlines and schedules could sometimes be clearer, and the workload can get heavy when several group projects overlap.
Overall, I would highly recommend BME at UCLL to social, open-minded students who want to meet people from all around the world and build friendships and connections across cultures, while following a practical marketing program with a strong European focus.
