Experience as an International student

I’m a student in the master’s programme in sustainable development. The programme is quite international, you will meet peers from different parts of the world from different study backgrounds as well. Although quite academically rigorous, the courses provided are really insightful and taught by professors who have high expertise in the subject. However, the way of evaluation can be quite stressful with the exam periods demanding a lot of time. However, the academic atmosphere is also flexible in the sense that you get to prepare an individual study programme for yourself that can be quite dynamic and suit your interests. The university itself is very encouraging of extracurriculars as well, there are a lot of interesting opportunities to engage in such as social entrepreneurship, volunteering, sports and such. Coming to my programme( space and society track) ,it can be quite challenging if you are a student that likes to have a more practical experience. You will find yourself reading through a lot of academic papers and materials to prepare for classes and exams. It is, however, quite interdisciplinary which can be interesting and relevant for those looking into the field of sustainability.
