This bachelor’s degree gave me the right tools to pursue a master’s degree and ultimately build a career in energy engineering.
The Business Engineering bachelor’s program is broad yet comprehensive, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle a wide range of challenges.
Studying Business Engineering at ICHEC has been a great experience for me so far, and having just completed my 3rd year of Bachelor’s, I am now looking forward to starting my Master’s degree. The courses offer a solid balance between business theory and practical applications. The student community is very dynamic, and the professors usually have great professional insights. What I love most about studying at ICHEC is that there is always an opportunity to go abroad. You can do a Summer Program in New York after the first year, a corporate internship or a humanitarian ‘Housing Project’ in the 2nd year, and choose from over 150 Erasmus destinations in the 3rd year (which I just completed!). As you progress, courses become much more practical, touching on real field concepts through subjects like Operational Research or Financial Statements Analysis. The evaluation format is also evolving with a great mix of oral and written exams next year, which helps split the workload during the revision period. Plus, the recent curriculum reform opens up even more Master’s tracks, alongside another chance to go on Erasmus in Master 1 or Master 2. Regarding student life, the Montgomery campus feels very cozy, while Anjou is beautifully green. Both campuses can sometimes feel a bit short on study spaces, but the renovated library at Montgomery is a great improvement, and a new one is rumored for Anjou! Overall, it’s a very dynamic and rewarding experience.
View moreI’m finishing my Business Engineering degree at ICHEC and overall the courses are solid, mixing strategy, finance, and technical skills in a practical way. The program also gives good opportunities to go on exchange, I did Erasmus in my third bachelor year and I’m doing another exchange in my second master year, which really adds to the experience.
The 1-month internship is a bit short , a longer one would be nice, but overall it’s a demanding and rewarding program.
Its my second year of bachelor at Ichec now and I have had a positive experience so far. I really appreciate the diversity of the Commercial Engineering programme, combining business, economics, finance and analytical subjects. I also enjoy the international environment and the opportunities offered to students such as housing project, internships, Erasmus … The workload can be demanding, but it is a great way to develop strong skills for the future. Overall, I would definitely recommend ICHEC.
View moreVery good university in Brussels. I can highlight some positive and negative points about my experience as a bachelor student there.
Positive :
– Good language learning: the lessons are well put together; I really feel I’ve made progress with my Dutch.
– Lot of international possibilities : Housing program, 2 Erasmus program during your cursus
Negative :
– Bad infrastructure : no sockets, very old classrooms
=> First year = Montgomery campus (modern) then for the rest of the bachelor / master = Anjou campus (old)
=> Campus is far from everything cool in Brussels
=> Nothing to do in the neighborhood
