Although I’m satisfied with the natural environment of the campus, I expect more trees for shades and shadows; other than this issue – it’s one of the most beautiful universities in Bangladesh.
Now let’s talk about academics. KUET (Khulna University of Engineering and Technology) has 15 departments and the syllabuses maintain high international standards. Moreover, our exams are based on the OBE (Outcome Based Education) policy.
Although not all the teachers are that much student friendly, there are also (senior and junior) teachers who are extremely helpful and understanding. Regardless of being friendly or not, all the teachers try their best to help us if they have enough time and we can show them a proper reason to get their help.
KUET has 5 residential halls for the boys and 1 for the girls. More halls are being built (they are almost completed) for the girls and also for the international students. The daily foods in our halls are not that bad; And, the monthly and annual feasts are excellent.
Our campus has a rich culture and diversed group activities to add some thrill and joy in our lives.
Students initially get frustrated because of the hot weather (for having enough tree infront of the Academic Building) and the extreme academic pressure. But, eventually they get used to it.
So, this is how I can summarize my KUET.

Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) holds a respectable position in Bangladesh as one of the country’s leading engineering universities. From the perspective of local students, the education here is considered fairly strong and provides a solid foundation for a successful career. However, for international students, KUET may not always be the most attractive choice due to certain infrastructural and environmental challenges.
Academic and Infrastructural Limitations
Like many public universities in Bangladesh, KUET faces several limitations:
Shortage of faculty members compared to the large number of students.
Inadequate classroom facilities, which sometimes affects the quality of teaching.
Lack of dedicated buildings for individual departments.
Limited accommodation in halls relative to the student population.
Average campus environment with some infrastructural constraints.
Salinity in water due to its geographic location, though safe drinking water is widely available on campus.
Career Prospects of KUET Graduates
Despite these obstacles, KUET graduates consistently excel in their professional lives. Many secure prestigious positions within Bangladesh, while a significant number build remarkable careers abroad. Alumni of KUET have successfully joined world-renowned organizations such as Google, Intel, and other globally recognized companies.
Conclusion
In summary, KUET provides students with strong academic knowledge and opportunities, even though the campus facilities may not match international standards. For Bangladeshi students, it remains one of the best engineering education options in the country, and its graduates prove their talent and potential worldwide.
