The University of Dhaka, Bangladesh’s oldest and most prestigious institution, stands as a beacon of academic excellence. Established in 1921, it has played a vital role in the country’s intellectual and political history. The university offers a wide range of disciplines, fostering critical thinking and research. Its vibrant campus, rich in heritage, is home to renowned faculty and talented students. However, challenges like overcrowding and resource constraints persist. Despite these, Dhaka University remains a top choice for higher education, producing leaders across various fields.

I will say about this university, it is the main center of leadership and science development of Bangladesh, from here most of the qualified leadership of Bangladesh are created, very talented students.

As an undergraduate level student, I was expecting a lot from the university. But I was frustrated seeing the accommodation facilities of the university which were very poor. But later I tried to cope with this and I managed well. Other than the accommodation, I think the university is among the best ones in the country and my program is also well desired by the students there. The program Bachelor in Political Science has a greater future prospect in the country and abroad, especially for higher study and academic jobs. My teachers were very friendly and inspirational. I can claim that my bachelor’s education at DU was a good chapter of my life considering all the positive gains.

The university has been playing a promising role in providing quality education in various fields. As a student of this university I have different sorts of experiences from different aspects. According to my opinion, this University is educationally sound and better than other universities in Bangladesh. Professors and their teaching quality deserve to be appreciated though nowadays the new recruitments are biased and it appoints some Lecturers who are not well deserving for those chairs. Anyway, the university also has lots of national and international organizational engagement that lets one student explore himself and prove his talent in a suitable platform. My program Bachelor’s in Political Science is one of the starting programs in this university and has been playing an efficient role in achieving pride for the university. However, I am not satisfied well with the accommodation services that the University provides. Especially in the first two years students even struggle to sleep in peace in their allocated seats. Campus politics is also a good reason why I am disturbed so much. Safety and security still should be ensured so that students can do their best in every segment. My good wishes for this beloved University.
