The B.Sc. in Textile Engineering at Daffodil International University offers a good mix of engineering theory and practical industry knowledge. The program focuses on important areas like fiber science, fabric production, textile chemistry, and apparel manufacturing, which are essential for Bangladesh’s large textile and garment sector.
What stands out is the hands-on learning environment. The department has several specialized labs where students can practice textile testing, dyeing, knitting, and garment production processes. This practical exposure helps students understand how the textile industry actually works.
Overall, the program provides a solid foundation for students who want to build careers in textile manufacturing, product development, or the apparel industry. It’s a good choice for anyone interested in combining engineering knowledge with Bangladesh’s growing textile sector.

Would you recommend it?
Yes, I would recommend this university for students looking for a well-rounded education and a supportive community.
Daffodil International University gives you a good Campus life with the opportunities they provide such as clubs, CDC (that posts jobs for students time to time), HRDI (student development), it’s eventful nature, a beautiful campus etc.
Things I didn’t like :
– Fixed Courses (takes the whole day for which students can’t work part-time, they have to attend and wait for classes the whole day)
– Less focus on practical works and research based work, more on theory
– Canteen food is expensive
– Bus cards are unfairly expensive and transport staff are rude sometimes
Things I like :
– Green and eco-friendly campus
– Student Activities
– Career opportunities and the Erasmus programme (one semester abroad)
– The clubs are very energetic
– Personal Exploration can help a student improve a lot in the university
– The library is good (big and good collection of books). It has an aesthetic cafe along with it
– Students can work part-time in the university as students associates
– “One student one laptop” policy
Yes, I would recommend this University for the good points I mentioned. But yes, please do your research before taking admission as you know best what suits you best.
