Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) is a premier center of excellence, blending top-tier technical education with a breathtaking, hilly landscape. The university is home to world-class professors whose mentorship is complemented by a rigorous curriculum, ensuring students are industry-ready. The infrastructure is robust, featuring modern residential halls that foster a tight-knit community and a central library that serves as a sanctuary for research and study.
The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department is a true highlight of the institution. It boasts state-of-the-art computer labs and high-end workstations designed for complex software development and AI research. The department is vibrant with a competitive tech culture, frequently organizing high-profile events like national programming contests and hackathons. These platforms, alongside the active CUET Computer Club, allow students to showcase their skills in problem-solving and innovation on a national stage.
While its secluded location in Raozan offers a peaceful, distraction-free environment ideal for deep academic focus, it does require a bit of travel to reach the city center. However, the university’s dedicated transport system effectively bridges this gap, making the serene “green campus” experience well worth the distance.
The university is one of the top four engineering degree providing institution. It is very cheaper and provide average accomodation in very low cost.
In my opinion the syllabus, strutured way of program and campus was top notch. There could be slight improvement in teacher cooperation, industry exposure and on campus job.
This is an highly overrated university in the country of Bangladesh.
Starting from the location, it is too farm away from the city. It wouldn’t have been a problem if the food around was too bad, let alone the hostels.
About education, I studied undergraduate in CSE department. This facility has hardly any good senior professors. Most of the instructors are not effective with delivering lectures. Even, whenever the juniors deliver any lectures the syllabus does not match when they set the questions.
About curriculum, the list of subjects are too rigid. You can not pick and choose what subjects to study and leave some courses.
They don’t teach web designing, basic business principles, newer technology. The curriculum is like 25 years old.
There is a huge gap between teachers and the students.
Overall, not recommended.
View moreCUET provides a solid foundation for CSE students, with dedicated faculty and thorough coverage of core subjects. However, the curriculum is somewhat outdated and could be updated to include the latest technologies. There is also a lack of industry exposure—more seminars, workshops, and sessions with industry experts would greatly benefit students and better prepare them for real-world challenges
View moreMy university is a place which offers solid academic foundations and valuable learning opportunities. It is one of the biggest and reputed engineering university in our country.
It offers not only to covers core concepts very well and also provides students to gather experiences through practical projects, presentations, seminars, different intra-university programs and workshops and so on. It is located far away from the crowd of the city, amid the natural beauty, surrounded with trees and hills. The campus environment is very nice, faculty members are generally very supportive and helpful.
Overall, my university played an important role in building my career. And many graduates from my university are playing a cruical role in many internationally reputed companies around the world. I am proud to be a student of this university.
