Studying the Bachelor’s Degree in Operations & Supply Chain Management at American International University-Bangladesh was a journey that felt closely connected to real-world business operations. From a student’s perspective, it wasn’t just about learning theories—it was about understanding how supply chains actually function in practice.

One of the most noticeable strengths of the programme was its practical approach. Courses covered logistics, procurement, inventory systems, and operations in a way that related directly to real industries. There were frequent group projects and case studies, which helped develop teamwork and problem-solving skills. However, group work sometimes became challenging when not all members contributed equally.

The faculty members were generally supportive and approachable. Many of them brought industry insights into the classroom, which made learning more engaging and relevant. That said, the teaching experience varied—some instructors made classes interactive and interesting, while others relied more on traditional lecture methods.

In terms of workload, it was manageable with consistent effort. Some courses—especially those involving analytics and decision-making—required more focus and practice. The programme leaned more toward applied learning rather than purely theoretical study, which made it useful but occasionally demanding for students not used to that style.

A key advantage of the degree was its career relevance. The programme provided a solid foundation for roles in logistics, operations, and supply chain management. However, students often needed to take initiative when it came to securing internships or building professional connections.

Campus life at AIUB contributed positively to the overall experience. There were many clubs and activities that helped maintain a balance between academics and social life. On the downside, administrative processes sometimes felt slow and required patience.
