I enjoyed my time on this programme and felt well engaged throughout, definitely due to the well-conceptualised course outline. There was a lot of opportunity for practical engagement and all teaching was in person which encouraged attendance. The lecturers were passionate and knowledgeable, there were of course some exceptions to this although this was not evident or disruptive for most students.
The location was in a wonderful city (Liverpool) and the lectures and classes were all within close proximity to each other and most offered accommodation. There was a large cohort through which I made many friends thanks to smaller group projects, lab groups and a pastoral group in which everyone was assigned a personal tutor. These personal tutors and personal tutoring sessions gave students a chance to form bonds with their assigned staff members and fellow students as well as being an opportunity for discussing personal issues in a safe and private setting.
A better incentive for socialising with the entire cohort would have improved my experience of the course and some input from the lecturers and personal tutors would have been very well received in this way.
Overall, I would choose this University and this programme again if I had to repeat it. The overall experience for me was 4/5.
