Student review [#104110] for Civil Engineering
at Macquarie University

I like the environment of Macquarie University. Overall surroundings are great. The nature won’t let anyone get depressed. Some of the teachers are genuinely awesome human being. I wouldn’t survive without them. I don’t like some policies in this University. I think this scenario is not only in this specific University but whole Australia is facing it. The coursework or the professional programme feels like a product rather than education. A master of professional course student is not eligible for funding for Master of Research degree because he doesn’t have a previous HDR degree. The quality of Master of Research degree is far more better than Master of Professional degree. Someone with enough financial backup can complete with high distinction while rest of the students barely pass. It is undeniable that the business and health science as well as medical science faculty are way better compared to faculty of science and engineering.
