I’m a student of marketing faculty, and honestly, I am disappointed with my choice. As an advantage, I can say that you can learn additional 2-3 new languages fluently. Also, after graduating you have 2 degrees.
However, I’m a sophomore and during these two years I haven’t learned anything but simple principles of marketing with Kotler’s book. For you to know, today all the greatest marketing specialists say that Kotler’s book is too old for today’s market, even Kotler himself says that the market has changed and it needs a total new strategy. What I’m trying to say is that this university does not give you proper knowledge in the marketing field. We study economics, accounting, management etc. Maybe it is a good business school, but personally, I regret entering. I read tones of books, I do different internships and go to all kind of seminars and training to have the knowledge, to get to know to skills and simply to learn what my profession is.
On the other hand, in this university, you are always mentally abused. Those security guys who ALWAYS YELL at you simply because you talked to your friend during the break or because you were late for 5 minutes, some lecturers who kill the creativity and motivation in you, the Head which makes changes whenever and however they want and you can’t contribute to stopping those changes, because you don’t have a voice.
I do think that education has a vital importance, but also I think that your health, inner peace and harmony are more important. Internet is full of books, mentors and information. My advice is, choose a university where you’ll be MENTALLY STABLE and just learn to learn on your own.
P.s. maybe this review is harsh, these are things which are real but unfortunately, no one talks about them.
P.s.s. we don’t have cafeteria, proper lecture halls, the building sucks, oh and yes, you can’t celebrate the new year for 4 years as you have a bunch of exams during that time. Good luck!
I would highly recommend UFAR if you are searching a University in Armenia to study law. The opportunity to study both French and Armenian law, to meet professors who are the best in their field makes it possible to become a really good specialist. Plus, you can study foreign languages (not only French and English which are obligatory in the educational system), do an internship abroad if you succeed to have good results. “University life” is more passive and it’s a little difficult to keep in balance both, but it’s already your choice.
View moreI’m a third-year student, that means I’m already half the way through. Honestly speaking, during these years there were times I asked myself whether I’ve made the right choice. And after all, I can tell you for sure, that one day or another the routine starts to kill you. Here any student finds himself under pressure a lot, so demotivation, as a rule, will hunt you at least twice a year. Despite my ups and downs after all these years I’m sure that even if I complain about the everyday pressure, I’ll rechoose this university, if I’m given the chance. The teaching staff is always there for help and advice, the mind-changing french culture, which units the students wherever they are. And after all, this whole system makes the student compete with oneself, always active and ready to enter through the big doors any moment.
View moreI am a law student at UFAR. During those years I realised that the French university of Armenia was really the best choice for me. The staff and students are all friendly, the course is brilliant. I am sure that the university will set me up for a great career.
View moreHi, I’m Ani Antonyan. I’m second year student in UFAR, so i have some experience studying here. In Yerevan, there are 2 universities that give international diplomas at the end of studies. Those 2 universities are UFAR and AUA. No matter if you know French or not, you can apply even with your knowledge of English or German. Already, at the end of the 2nd year, you can pass a French proficiency test called DELF and continue your studies in French universities as Jean Moulin Lyon 3 or Paul Sabatier Toulouse 3. If you want to learn about marketings, management, finances, programming and law you are in right place. Here you can get basic and essential knowledge for each profession. Furthermore not only Armenian, but French lecturers too would teach you during your studies. In 4th year, students have the opportunity to spend their internship in France or In Spain. After finishing baccalaureate the university will help you to find job in France, either in Armenia.Although, if you want to continue your studies in magistracy, don’t get upset. Magistracy courses are still available. Moreover, students and ambience here is enchanting. Don’t be afraid about your students’ life, you’re not going to only learn, study and pass exams. Before and after every session, UFARs’ Student Council organizes Parties,so you can relax and loosen up. In addition, university gives you the chance to have an experience in synchronous translation, to have a stage in Armenian or French leading companies as marketer, manager and lawyer.
View moreI am studying Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Finance) since September 2015 at UFAR and its been a good learning experience so far. I am happy with the lecturers and the course materials. Yes, the library is pretty smaller as compared to other unis, actually, no Cafeteria, no ECAs like sports or music but you get what you pay for. I have friends at other UNIs and I have compared my course materials with them. Overall, I am satisfied weighing quality.
