One thing I particularly liked about the Pre-Med curriculum was the inclusion of psychology. I find it interesting because medicine is not only about understanding the body but also about understanding human behaviour and the way people think. At 19, I am still discovering which aspects of medicine interest me most, and this subject has given me another perspective to consider.
View morethe mix of science subjects is something i appreciate about nau. there is a lot to learn but i like knowing that these subjects will be useful for my future in medicine. the one i enjoy most is biology, its a very good start for someone who wants to have a career in medicine and study it from beginning to end
View moreNow that I’m in my third year of the MD programme, I’ve started to appreciate even more how important the practical side of medicine is. It’s one thing to learn something from a textbook, but being able to understand how that knowledge applies in real medical situations makes it much more meaningful to me. I feel that these experiences are helping me gradually build my confidence as a future doctor.
View moreI take my studies seriously, and I appreciate that the MD programme requires the same from students. There is a lot of material to cover, so I have learned to stay organised and keep up with my work.
View moreMy study routine has become very serious since I started the MD, I am now in the first year. Moving in was difficult cus i was very anxious about leaving my home behind but I immediately got settled. The people here are so kind and my studies, even though they are hard, we have awesome professors and they are always helpful and making the students actually eager to attend their classes
View moreOne of the strongest aspects of the Premed programme for me is the way different subjects begin to connect with one another. Concepts introduced in chemistry can become relevant when studying biochemistry, while biology provides context for anatomy and physiology. I enjoy recognising these connections because they make the curriculum feel much more coherent. Studying online has actually encouraged me to make these links independently, particularly when I am reviewing several subjects during the same week. It has changed the way I organise information and think about scientific concepts.
View morethe first days on campus have been a really positive experience for me. everyone has been friendly and the professors made me feel comfortable very quickly, which helped me settle in much faster. also a thing i really appreciated is that everyone is so eager to help here whenever i have a quesiton about the studying or even the accomodation etc
