It’s primordial to precise that I am writing about my experience in the Tolbiac center a center affiliated to Panthéon Sorbonne, for the 1st and 2nd years of university. Honestly, I was surprised, when I realized that I will not study at the Panthéon in the 5th district, but in the Tolbiac center in the 13th district. Of course, the 13th district is less charming, but the truth is that, the Tolbiac Center, is surrounded by many shops to eat at mid-day, and few bars, not so expensive. My university, is one of the best French university in social sciences, I have to admit that professors are excellent, the reputation of Panthéon Sorbonne is justified. Some aspects of the University, can tarnish its reputation. In particular the state of the class rooms and the building. The advantage of the Tolbiac center, is that it’s a living and rewarding place to study, if you are curious and want to join a student association, it’s the perfect place to be. The fact that students associations hold a lot of power of action, also have consequences, during important political events, a huge number of associations can take part in protests, and can block the Tolbiac center, for few days, week or even a month.
To be honest, it’s not the perfect university, but I have no doubt about the quality of my studying.
