A world class university, with teachers from all over the world.
Education that lives up to its reputation.
However, strong competition between the students to the detriment of the human side.
An enriching and strong experience which pushed me to go beyond myself and my abilities.
A very nice university with quality education and qualified teachers. A very busy student life in a city on the move, Paris. A rather problematic year with the yellow vests and the covid-19, but the year continues with online courses and exams. Very nice meetings from all over the world, friends who share our daily life in such a big way that we get lost. Students motivated to work and to party. Aid offered by the institution to help us in our learning. Student associations to supervise students, but also to entertain them outside of class with pots, after-work and weekends / concerts. However, the administration encountered problems.
View moreThe value and knowledge that you get out of being at the university is exceptional. There are many academic societies to join with many events and conferences constantly taking place. Not to mention that you would be very well received when you mentioned that you studied at the university; given its exceptional reputation.
Given the university is public and does not charge extortionate fees, it would be understandable not to have the incredible facilities that other universities possess. However, it is quite shocking to see just how bad the facilities, as well as the student support available, really are. Many of the classrooms and even buildings are run down and are in dire need of refurbishing. Moreover, you will quickly realise that the best support you will get is probably from other students rather than the administration itself.
View moreVery good level of teaching, the environnement of study is impressive! The theatre like Bachelard and Richelieu are rich in culture. Will recommend everyone to study there. However, the theatre can be very crowded sometimes.
View moreI loved studying at the Sorbonne. Classes and teachers are of high quality. In addition, the setting is beautiful and the libraries are very pleasant to study at. In my master’s degree, students came from various backgrounds, which allowed me to learn a lot about the diversity of possible paths and to create a good professional network.
View moreGreat university, great professors, well organized, high level of competitiveness, global knowledge and practical advises for entering the job life, job opportunities, great location, well organized and updated libraries
View moreReally good uni, however the system is very strict and challenging. I learned a lot these past 2 years and it’s definetly worth all the effort. One big issue would be the fact that professors grade very harshly. The work load is also another con with around 5 essays to hand in weekly and exams every 2 weeks.
View moreThis university is a flagship of French research. The best teachers teach the fruit of their research. It must also be said that everything is done so that the student can pass exams with quality libraries and optimal facilities. It’s an honor to be a student!
View moreAn excellent faculty, where very interesting courses are taught by great teachers with rare skills in their field. The location is optimal in the Latin Quarter, cultural and intellectual heart of Paris.
View moreIt is a very good university with good teachers but sometimes difficult to talk to the administration.
A great diversity of university courses to meet the different wishes of students.
