Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona - UAB (reviews)

It´s founder wanted the university to have the freedom to select its teachers, freedom to create its own study plans and to administrate the university’s capital and to make admission available to all the students.  Four principles that have been maintained during the years. And, on 26 November 2009, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona obtained recognition as a Campus of International Excellence. UAB counts with 13 faculties or schools with many research institutions on campus.

Even though UAB is a young university, it has been growing each year and currently, it counts with more than thirty-one thousand students of which the 25% is doing postgraduate studies and the other 75% is dedicated to undergraduate studies.  As stated on their own website, the UAB’s joint bachelor’s degree in Physics + Mathematics is once again the one with the highest cut-off mark in Catalonia (13.352), while 22 other bachelor’s degrees have cut-off marks above 10.

The UAB is also collaborating with other institutions like AGAUR, UOC and ACUP to organize a very interesting course called “Strategy and RDI project planning” which aims to help researchers to improve their skills and knowledge when preparing collaborative proposals within the Horizon 2020 program.

The UAB is currently offering 87 bachelor’s degrees, 133 official master’s and 68 Ph.D. programs. It´s degree in Veterinary Science it is ranked at the QS world ranking by subject in the 33^rd position, making the UAB a leader in this discipline.
