The luxury product market has grown significantly in the last five years, creating lucrative opportunities for business graduates with the right skills. But how can you succeed in the luxury business? At SKEMA in Dubai, students are prepared to do just that.
The opening of SKEMA Business School’s newest campus in Dubai presents business students with the opportunity to study in one of the world’s luxury capitals. 97% of luxury buyers in the Gulf are expected to increase their purchases in 2025. This is driven, in part, by a rapid growth in the number of millionaires in the United Arab Emirates.
So, how can you become a part of this growing market in the UAE? At SKEMA in Dubai, students are immersed in the business world in this fast-growing economic powerhouse – and can follow programmes that equip them with the specific skills to succeed in luxury.
What can I study at SKEMA in Dubai?

SKEMA’s Dubai campus is situated in the heart of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), an area that houses almost 8,000 businesses, including a large proportion of finance and FinTech-related companies. Not only are students surrounded by entrepreneurs and experienced professionals in the DIFC, but the location is also close to popular Dubai attractions, including the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa, enhancing the experience of studying in this innovative city.
At the Dubai campus, students can join a variety of Bachelor’s specialisations and Master’s degrees, as well as the school’s prestigious Grande École programme, which is among the top 20 Master’s in Management globally.
“The purpose of our implementation in Dubai is to connect students with the local business environment, and give them the opportunity to build the largest possible network in order to multiply the career opportunities in a region that needs to recruit talents from all over the world. This is precisely the reason why we settled here, in one of the most vibrant and fast-growing places in the world,” says Arnaud Lacheret, Dean of the SKEMA campus in Dubai.
The programmes that will be of particular interest to students interested in a career in luxury will be the Global BBA – Bachelor in Management and the MSc Global Luxury and Management.
While the Global BBA suits students in the early stages of their careers, the MSc is designed for those who have already graduated from a Bachelor’s programme and have some work experience under their belt.
Both degrees are taught in English and include modules specific to doing business in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) – so you’re prepared for joining companies in the region as soon as you graduate.
However, the full range of programmes offered at SKEMA in Dubai encompasses more than just luxury management. Students can choose from three other specialised MSc programmes (in one- or two-year formats), the Grande Ecole programme, and the Global BBA. SKEMA’s MSc programmes in Dubai include:
- MSc Financial Markets & Investments
- MSc Global Supply Chain Management & Procurement
- MSc International Business
Gain hands-on skills in Luxury Management in collaboration with LVMH

SKEMA’s flagship course for students seeking a career in luxury is the MSc in Global Luxury Management. When students take this course on the Dubai campus, they follow a specialisation in Client Relationship Management, which includes modules in topics like:
- Understanding Consumer Behaviours
- Strategy and Innovation In Luxury
- Luxury Digital Marketing and Communication
A bonus for students is that this course is taught in collaboration with luxury giant LVMH. The Group encompasses 75 individual luxury brands across food and drink, fashion, perfumes, and jewellery, including renowned names such as Christian Dior, Givenchy, Bvlgari, and Moët & Chandon.
Thanks to the collaboration, students can expect masterclasses and lectures led by professionals from LMVH, bringing real luxury case studies and experience into the classroom. MSc participants also complete the certification “Retail Excellence & Client Relationship Management”, which is taught and awarded by LMVH.
Outside the classroom, students have opportunities to practice their communication and business skills in real-world environments. As part of the MSc in Global Luxury Management, students visit LVMH’s offices and flagship stores in Dubai; the Group has a strong presence in the Dubai Design District and multiple stores in the Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates.
“Twelve HR managers of LVMH Maisons came to meet our MSc Global Luxury Management students, more than 50 [C-suite professionals] came during classes to explain their jobs, give insights on how to get internships and jobs,” explains Dr Lacheret.
“Companies such as Amundi, Louis Vuitton, Accor, Google, SLB, Chalhoub, CACIB, Natixis, Dubai Duty Free and many others brought their managers inside the classrooms and had formal and informal exchanges with the students.”
From the autumn semester of 2028, students on the Global BBA’s two-year mobility track will be able to follow the specialisation in Luxury Brand Management at the Dubai campus. They’ll join Master’s students on the campus to explore professional opportunities in the luxury sector and broaden their skills in communication, product management, and digital marketing.
Why Study in Dubai?
The number of international students at private institutions in Dubai increased 29% in the last two academic years. With more students than ever choosing to travel to Dubai to study, you’ll be among a strong community of international learners and expats.
Despite an influx of expats seeking jobs in Dubai, there are still numerous opportunities available for graduates, particularly in sectors such as technology and finance. Meanwhile, the luxury market in the Middle East is expanding at an annual growth rate of 8%, so studying in Dubai could be the key to a career elsewhere in the region.
At SKEMA in Dubai, students have the unique opportunity to earn a French-accredited degree while developing specialised skills in business, one of the world’s fastest-growing areas.
Conclusion
Studying at SKEMA in Dubai is about more than gaining industry-specific knowledge. With practical, hands-on study opportunities, an inspiring location at the heart of the DIFC, and career-focused skills acquisition, studying here is the beginning of a vibrant career in luxury. Plus, with Dubai’s diverse international community and attractions, your time outside the classroom will be just as enriching.

Student Review – Digital Business
As a BBA student, I’ve found the atmosphere at SKEMA to be extremely collaborative. Students are encouraged to work together on real-life projects and case studies. Student clubs and associations also provide great opportunities to connect and develop leadership skills. However, academic pressure can sometimes be intense, requiring good time management. I particularly appreciate the accessibility of the professors and their willingness to help us succeed.
