While your three or four years at university will be filled with unforgettable experiences, a struggle to find a job afterwards can make you wonder if it’s all been worth it. With that in mind, what are the best bachelor degrees for jobs?
Let’s find out, with the help of EDUopinions student reviews.
What are the top Bachelor Degrees for Careers in 2025?

Summary and Methodology
To create our ranking of the best bachelor degrees for jobs, we looked at 9,264 student reviews from bachelors students posted in 2023 and filtered them by ‘specialty’, or, the degree subject. We then removed any degree subjects that received less than student reviews.
This left 48 degree subjects which we ranked by the ‘career prospects’ rating from student reviews. Our top ten represents 2,593 student reviews from global universities.
10. Statistics (4.31/5 Rating)

Surprisingly, statistics manages to beat Mathematics as a degree subject for job prospects. A subset of mathematics, statistics engages with large datasets, and statisticians are trained to interpret and catalogue data, as well as evaluate how accurate the data might be.
While the field of statistics developed out of a need to analyse population censuses, today, almost every industry will require statistics knowledge. As businesses generate more and more data and scientific research becomes more complex, qualified statisticians are more in-demand than ever.
Student Review – Bentley University, United States
Bentley University provides a demanding yet highly rewarding academic experience. The coursework and expectations are challenging, but the opportunities and rewards are plentiful. The professors are knowledgeable, engaging, and supportive, and the environment is stimulating and conducive to learning.
9. Project Management (4.35/5 Rating)

Project management isn’t the only business-related subject you’ll find in our top ten ranking. However, it does manage to beat fields such as marketing and general management with its career prospects score.
A project management degree will introduce you to similar leadership skills as a business management degree, but with a focus on managing successful projects from start to finish. So, you’ll pick up essential skills in communication, people management, problem-solving, and risk management, all of which are applicable to a wide variety of industries.
Student Review – Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands
During my program I managed to acquire various hard-skills but also soft-skills. Each semester we’re able to select a project that suits our interest and not only we get to research but also actually get to realize something. Plus you get to travel during this program. Sometimes lecturers weren’t as suitable for certain subjects.
Student Review – Algonquin College, Canada
The courses boast highly effective program designs, characterized by precise outlines and thorough organization. The courses are exceptionally well-structured, with each program intricately organized and outlined.
8. Computer Science (4.38/5 Rating)

Computer science is one of the most in-demand university degrees, so students already recognise the value in exploring programming, machine learning, and software engineering. And with more businesses embracing AI in the next ten years, there are even more opportunities for graduates of computer science.
With these skills, the graduate opportunities are endless: you could become an app developer, an AI researcher, a web designer, or a consultant, among many other careers.
Student Review – American University of Paris, France
The institution impresses with its exceptional academic environment. The faculty’s expertise and commitment to student success are evident in the well-structured courses. The campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities, contributing to a conducive learning atmosphere. Notably, the university’s emphasis on fostering a collaborative community is reflected in the diverse student body.
Student Review – IU International University of Applied Sciences, Germany
I have had an amazing experience at IU. The classes are engaging and the professors are passionate and knowledgeable about the topics they teach. The campus is beautiful and the location is perfect in my own point of view. The student body is diverse and welcoming and there are many activities and events to get involved in. From the impressive library to the career services office, there is something for everyone here. I would highly recommend this university to anyone looking for a great university experience because it is indeed great.
7. Trade (4.38/5 Rating)

Student reviewers gave trade the same career prospects rating as computer science, however, thanks to a higher overall rating for the subject, it appears at number seven on our ranking. Another business-related programme, a degree in trade prepares you to work in operations in huge global industries such as shipping and freight.
Trade is a more popular subject at masters level, given the degree of business knowledge you need to enter the subject. However, broader international trade and economics degrees are available at bachelors-level, as well as one-year ‘top-up’ courses you can take after a bachelors in a related subject.
Student Review – University College Cork, Ireland
UCC boasts an extensive campus, providing students with a captivating backdrop for their educational achievements. The institution offers an exceptional academic curriculum, instructors who are genuine experts in their respective fields, and the flexibility to personalize the coursework to align with individual interests.
6. Medicine (4.41/5 Rating)

Medicine graduates have always enjoyed strong career prospects—we always need doctors, after all. However, demand may even increase in the coming years. The World Health Organisation estimates that there will be a shortage of 10 million healthcare workers by 2030, mainly in middle and low-income countries.
But working on the frontline of healthcare in a hospital or medical centre isn’t the only career option available to medicine graduates. Some medicine graduates pursue further education, such as a specialised masters or PhD degree, and work in groundbreaking medical research. Others combine their medicine studies with business modules, leading to a career in international healthcare policy and leadership.
Student Review – Wroclaw Medical University, Poland
I consider these universities worth studying there. It is at a high level compared to Polish medical universities. It is well-equipped and has nice professional lecturers. The only thing I would change are frequent organizational problems and lack of good communication with the university authorities.
Student Review – University of Liverpool, United Kingdom
Personally, i think the University of Liverpool is a great university overall. As a medical student in her fourth year, the content is well structured and easy to keep up with compared to other universities. With a hybrid approach, you get the benefits of online lectures (doing them in your own time, being able to rewatch and plan your own schedule), whilst still benefitting from the more social and hands on aspects of your in person sessions. In terms of placements as a medical student, you can be placed a little far and you don’t get much say in where you’re placed, so that can be quite challenging once you start 3rd year. Overall, i think the course is well structured and with the added bonus of starting clinical placements in 2nd year rather than 3rd year like most universities, Liverpool produces competent medical students!
5. International Business (4.42/5 Rating)

Breaking into the top five best bachelor degrees for jobs is international business, a broad degree that allows students to explore a whole range of topics including finance, marketing, technology and organisational behaviour. It’s perhaps because of this broad focus that this degree does so well at getting students jobs afterwards.
For example, you don’t just have to want to be a manager to study international business. You could use the degree to become a specialist in accounting, marketing or finance by pursuing a masters degree afterwards, or explore graduate business consultant roles.

The third-best bachelors degree for career prospects is entrepreneurship, and there’s an obvious reason for this subject to be so high on our ranking. An entrepreneurship degree is highly practical, so students not only develop skills within the classroom but also on group and individual projects that get them thinking about real business scenarios.
A degree in entrepreneurship is a great choice if you want to start your own business in the future. You’ll learn how to manage all the different business operations in a company, such as finance and marketing, and practice your innovative problem solving.

Student Review – City, University of London, United Kingdom
The Business Management – Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship course is an excellent, comprehensive program, designed to equip students with crucial understanding of the rapidly evolving digital business landscape. The course’s strength lies in its practical focus – it effectively prepares students for real-world challenges through case studies, group projects, and hands-on learning opportunities. The emphasis on digital technology applications, is commendable and relevant for today’s business world.
Furthermore, the entrepreneurial aspect of the course is well-integrated, encouraging students to think creatively, innovatively, and strategically. This module inspires students to develop entrepreneurial mindsets, ideal for those looking to establish start-ups or innovate within established corporations.
The teaching faculty is highly knowledgeable, supportive, and ensures that course content is updated to reflect the latest trends and industry practices. The course could, however, benefit from more guest lecturers from industry leaders to provide first-hand insights into the practical application of course content.
Overall, I highly recommend this course to anyone seeking a holistic understanding of business management, with a particular focus on leveraging digital innovation for entrepreneurial success. It’s a course that will challenge you, inspire you, and equip you with the essential tools to excel in the digital business world.
2. Human resources (4.57/5 Rating)

Human resources isn’t just one of the best bachelor degrees for jobs, it’s also the top-performing business subject for career prospects according to students. This subject combines the disciplines of management and sociology; you’ll look at the typical roles within an organisation and how these are structured but also develop an understanding of social behaviour.
Every organisation needs a HR department, and these professionals are increasingly responsible for more of the employee experience, from onboarding to personal and professional development. The blend of human relationship management and technology use (especially in the hiring process) means this career is ideal for people who would like to explore technological innovations but are people-oriented.
Student Review – University of Maryland University College, United States
UMUC remains a special institution close to my heart. It changed my life to the better since the skills I acquired in this great university have enabled me to do so well in the job market. The training in this school is hands on with a touch of career preparation. The professors not only trained us on the theory but also mentored us to comfortably fit in the job market. They were just great. Sports and other social activities are also available in this university and students are free to participate any of their choice to improve on their talents. Students’ accommodation is available for the students who want to live within the Campus.
Student Review – Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Canada
I studied in the Business Administration – Human Resources program at NAIT during the start of the pandemic. I found due to the remote fashion of most of my classes that I was a bit rushed for time to get my assignments done.
One benefit is that I would have additional time for things like tests and teachers tended to be more accommodating of family emergencies impacting my studies. My teachers were very accessible and friendly and helped me achieve great results!
1. Dentistry (4.58/5 Rating)

So, the best bachelor degree for jobs is dentistry—are you surprised? You shouldn’t be; just as with other healthcare professionals like doctors, the global demand for dentists is soaring, with places like the United Kingdom seeing significant workforce shortages. This job is necessary, and this means that dentistry graduates will have no problem finding a job afterwards.
There may be other reasons why students score dentistry degrees high for career prospects. In addition to a wealth of job opportunities, dentist graduates can also look forward to high salaries, making this an even more sought-after degree. So, if you’d like to work in healthcare but the thought of long hours in a hospital worry you, a bachelors in dentistry could be a good fit.
Student Review – Harvard University, United States
some of the advantages of the dentistry program i am enrolled in are (1) the rigorous teaching curriculum associated with the medical school which provides a solid background in basic medical sciences, (2) the proximity of the dormitory to campus because it is right across the street from the road, (3) the enthusiasm of teachers and students for learning, which allows for great interaction between us, and (4) the pass-fail curriculum, which creates a sense of camaraderie that has established itself in us as we all let’s go through the year together and help each other. some disadvantages include (1) the location away from the school’s main campus, which doesn’t look like part of the larger university as a whole, but gives us easy access to all of boston’s major hospitals and (2) a focus away from the same dental profession in years 3 and 4 of the program. “
