ESSEC BBA : It's worth it

Essec BBA is a well known program if you want to attend a business school. The teaching is qualitative as the teachers usually are reputed experts in their fields. As far as it concerns the campus, you cannot complain about the diversity and quality of high tech equipment or the comfortable auditoriums. Pretty much everything is made for you to feel at ease and evolve as an ESSEC student. One of the rare things I could point out is the school campus location which is pretty much isolated and a bit far from the centre of Paris, otherwise, you can take public transport, easy to use and practical for your everyday student life.

Studying Culture and Society at UDSM

I would rate my Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Dar es Salaam quite positively overall. The program offered a strong academic foundation and equipped me with essential critical thinking and research skills. It provided a valuable perspective on the complexities of human societies and cultures, helping me understand the intricate relationship between people, their environments, and the systems they create. Several aspects of the program stood out to me. Notably, Dr. Dauda’s course on ecology and culture was eye-opening—highlighting how cultural practices directly influence ecosystems and vice versa. Dr. Kamughisha made a significant impact through his teachings on both qualitative and quantitative research methods, fostering a balanced and analytical approach to anthropological inquiry. Dr. Jacqueline’s classes offered deep insights into society and culture, as well as pressing urban problems and contemporary anthropological issues. While the program was intellectually enriching, I believe it would benefit from more modern resources and practical field-based learning opportunities. Nonetheless, the knowledge and perspective I gained have been transformative, both academically and personally. I would recommend this program to anyone interested in understanding the deeper layers of human behavior, society, and culture.

Professionality

OSTİM Technical University stands out for its strategic location within Ankara’s industrial zone, providing students with practical exposure through internships and partnerships with leading businesses. Its focus on technical and applied sciences ensures that students gain industry-relevant skills, particularly in engineering, technology, and entrepreneurship. The university also emphasizes innovation, offering support for student projects through resources like incubators and mentorship. Small class sizes foster close relationships between students and faculty, creating a personalized and supportive academic environment. However, there are areas where OSTİM Technical University could improve. As a newer institution, it may not yet have the established reputation of older universities, potentially affecting the perceived value of its degrees in competitive fields. Its specialization in technical and industrial disciplines might not cater to students with broader academic interests. Additionally, being in its growth phase, the university could face limitations in resources such as library facilities, research opportunities, or extracurricular activities. These aspects might impact the overall student experience, especially for those seeking a more diverse academic environment. In summary, OSTİM Technical University offers practical and career-focused education but has areas to address to become a more well-rounded institution.
