My time as a student at University College Cork (UCC) has been truly transformative. UCC's unwavering commitment to academic brilliance, alongside its lively campus life, has made my experience here unforgettable.
Having attended Cork Institute of Technology for the past four years, I have found it to be an excellent college in terms of student/lecturer interaction and engagement. Unlike most universities, where students can simply be a number in the system, the name of each student will be known by each of their lecturers at CIT. If you have a question during a lecturer, CIT's class sizes means that a student can simply raise their hand and have the issue addressed there and then, there is no need for the student to have to wait for a tutorial, etc. to get a question answered. Each lecturer will do his or her best to make sure that each student achieves their full potential and most will go above or beyond the call of duty in ensuring that students reach the next stage of the programme. I don't think that you will find a college in Ireland in which a better student/lecturer working relationship exists, CIT genuinely cares about its students. However, like most Institutes of Technology in Ireland, CIT is severely under-funded and now has more students attending the college than ever. Simple amenities such as canteen facilities and parking can be an issue at certain peak times during the semester. Other areas in the college also need a massive revamp in order to bring them in line with modern standards.
Dublin Business School (DBS) is more than just a place of learning; it's a place where academic excellence meets comfort and global connections. Let me tell you, my time at DBS was a whirlwind of challenges and growth, and I loved every minute of it. The coursework was demanding, no doubt about it, but it was in those moments of pushing my limits that I found my true potential. What really blew me away was how DBS takes care of its students. They understand that finding a cozy place to stay is crucial for focusing on your studies. That's why they offer a range of accommodation options that cater to different preferences and needs. I didn't have to worry about the hassle of finding a place to live – DBS had me covered, and that made settling into student life a breeze. So, if you're looking for a place where hard work meets cozy living and where you can connect with folks from all walks of life, DBS is the way to go.
